What is Briefu?
Briefu is an AI email triage assistant. It reads your unread mail across multiple mailboxes, summarises each message in a line, decides what needs a reply, drafts those replies for you, and pushes a clean digest to your phone a few times a day — so you act on your inbox instead of drowning in it.
Which email providers does Briefu work with?
Standard IMAP and SMTP mailboxes (cPanel, Hostinger, GoDaddy and similar), plus Gmail via the Gmail API and Microsoft 365 via the Microsoft Graph API. Multiple mailboxes can be triaged together into a single digest.
How does the AI summarise and draft replies?
Each unread message is passed to a large language model that returns a one-line summary, a category (needs a reply, or for information only), and — where a reply is warranted — a ready-to-edit draft. You review, tweak and send. Nothing is sent automatically.
Is my email data secure?
Yes. Mailboxes are read over encrypted connections, all credentials and tokens are encrypted at rest, reading never marks your mail as read, and replies are only ever sent when you explicitly choose to send them. The app is private and single-user by design.
Can I install Briefu on my phone?
Briefu is a Progressive Web App, so it installs to your home screen and sends push notifications like a native app — no app store required. The live app is private; to use Briefu for your own business, get in touch for a tailored build.
